Full Details

A lovely detached cottage on a working farm and just ½ mile inland (even less by footpath) from Abereiddy Bay, 5 miles NE St David's. The cottage is full of character, beautifully converted to a high standard and retaining stone walls and timber beams. Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor, with a bathroom and a very large bedroom with 3 single beds upstairs. Kitchen/diner, lounge with multifuel stove on the slate hearth, double and single bedrooms and a shower room. Microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Sky TV, video and oil-fired central heating. Enclosed lawned garden with furniture and a sun terrace. Strictly no smoking.

Additional Information: Max 5 Adults; Travel Cot available

Electricity and Heating: Electricity & heating included

Short Break: Short Breaks not available at this property

Accessibility Information: Access to the property is via a lane off a narrow side road. The gate to the parking area is wide and leads onto a steeply sloping parking area with space for up to 3 cars. A vehicle can be reversed up to the level front terrace (up a small step) which also leads onto two level areas of lawn. There is a small step at both doors which are accessed from this terrace. Access to the south facing sun terrace is up to five steps and unmade cart tracks. Inside, on the ground floor, there is a double and a single bedroom, and a shower room with WC. Doors are 29” wide except for those leading into the shower/WC which are only 23” wide. The space between the kitchen units and table leading to the back door is narrow with all the furniture in place. The back door is low. On the upper floor, reached by a narrow twisting staircase, there is another bathroom with a bath and a bidet, the washing and drying machines, and a further large double or triple bedroom. The staircase has handrails on one side only in its bottom two sections. Lighting is good on the ground floor but dimmer in the upper bathroom. Doors are varnished wood and contrast with off white walls. The TV and video have remote controls. There is no telephone and mobile coverage is highly variable. Power points are just above the skirting and light switches at hand height. There are two smoke alarms and one CO alarm, all audible. As the cottage is within a National Park and required to appear externally as a farm building, major alterations to the cottage or its grounds would be unlikely to receive planning permission.
