5* SERVICED SELF-CATERING CONTEMPORARY COTTAGE APPARTMENT IN PEMBROKESHIRE FOR 2 PEOPLE (+cot - babies only)
Fronhaul is Welsh for sunny hillside - and as I am told by a local friend, many cottages are called Fronhaul, but not many look and feel like our cottage, set in extensive grounds with a brook making its way to our pool, a former mill pond, now a nice spot for fishing.
Your holiday cottage apartment is an attractive and generously proportioned, contemporary style, self-contained annex that provides you with all the necessary mod cons, such as the usual luxurious interior in impeccable condition, stylishly decorated, down to the integrated Siemens coffee machine, microwave/hot air oven, dishwasher and washing machine fitted into the designer kitchen. There is slate flooring throughout the apartment with electric underfloor heating, which you control yourself. All doors and windows have been handcrafted by the village carpenter and are made of hardwood. The apartment's unique design enhances the feeling of space, should the inclement weather or mood keep you inside.
The bathroom is equally well equipped and of high standard with bath, electric shower, WC, bidet, washbasin, mirrored cabinet with shaver point, towel heater, hot air fan, hairdryer and ample supply of towels as well as two cosy bathrobes.
In order to get you to relax and unwind from the daily hassle of the ever increasing stress of life, your apartment will be serviced on a daily basis and your linen changed mid-week.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by Beat, the owner, who will acquaint you with your holiday environment and celebrate your stay at Fronhaul with a Welcome Cocktail. The fire will be burning in your stove (except on hot summer days of course).
During the week, you will be invited by the owner and his wife to join them for a Champagne party.
Please feel free to use the outer garden at your leisure for the ever relaxing hours. Adequate garden furniture is available (not in plastic). Should you fancy a spot of fishing for brown trout (1lb min. weight) in the pond, you can BBQ them right on the spot.
You can arrange with the owner the occasional imagined Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner party, in case you like to get spoilt. This can be served either in your flat, the owner's BBQ room or anywhere in the garden. Please bear in mind that this pleasure is at extra cost.
You wish to know about the immediate neighbours? None, except us in the main house - plus horses, sheep and possibly a few cows in the surrounding fields, as well as our hens and ducks and our dog Fifi. There is no traffic noise either, as Fronhaul is only reached via a private track shared with New Holmus Farm some 500 yards down the lane.
During your stay, nature will enthrall you with its enchanting birdlife. Fronhaul is surrounded by low class grazing fields and bush land.
Of course there is also the widely advertised Welsh country and with all the imaginative sporting life nearby, including the famous racing stables, Yet-y-Rhug www.peterbowenracing.com.
For the upwardly mobile, the private Haverfordwest Withybush Airport http://www.airports-worldwide.com/uk/uk_haverfordwest.html is only 20 minutes away.
Please also note that you can clean your car on the premises or have it valeted by arrangement.
For payment, I accept cheques for the booking and cash for any additional expenses at the end of your stay with us.
